Three towers joined by a ship-shaped SkyPark, with a rooftop infinity pool above and one of Asia's slickest casinos below.

Inside the house

Marina Bay Sands opened in 2010 and redrew the Singapore skyline. Its three towers carry the SkyPark, a long deck across the top with gardens, restaurants and the famous infinity pool, which only hotel guests can use.

Rooms are modern and comfortable, but the outlook is what you are paying for. Request a high floor facing the bay or Gardens by the Bay, and plan an evening stroll along the waterfront for the light and water show.

The casino is large, bright and carefully run, with tables, slots and private rooms for premium play. Overseas visitors show a passport at the door, while Singapore citizens and permanent residents pay an entry levy, so keep ID handy.

Between sessions you can walk straight into a large shopping mall, the ArtScience Museum and dozens of restaurants, which makes it easy to fill a long weekend without leaving the complex.
